We cannot be too early when it comes to thinking about how we want to explore space. We believe that the way we go matters. In other words, we need a human-centered approach, a life-centered approach that believes plants are part of the process of humans pushing boundaries. We shape the future by planting the right seeds and taking care.
Welcome to the World of Moon Corps
We’re looking for a new generation of space explorers who are ready to do the real work of making space accessible for humanity. Moon Corps is a civilian, international service corps of astro-botanists, astro-chefs, astro-engineers who are making space accessible for the next generation of human explorers. You may have heard of us at the 2044 Worlds Fair, but did you know that now we’re looking for people like you to join the team?
A Leap Bigger Then We Imagined
Humanity isn’t the only life form that needs to push boundaries. Plants and their microbiomes are the original pioneers. We’re giving microbiology and plants a toehold on a new island. We don’t think of the moon as a neighbor, but as part of Earth’s household—it was once part of Earth after all. This is no alien world, but a natural extension of Earth’s fantastic, dynamic life.
Our process is:
water + farm + kitchen = pizza
There’s water ice that needs mined, there’s a farm that needs tended to, there’s a dinner to make. Doing ordinary work in an extraordinary place is just part of the deal. Our international program believes that the way we go matters. To us, humans are our focus, and humans can’t go far without water, fresh food and the ability to sit down with a community. We aim to bring space workers together and keep them nourished. You can be part of that. Join the Moon Corps!
